Gun Porn? (Naked Firearm )

I’ve been shooting many times throughout my life. I grew up with guns in the house, and every year at the family reunion, we’d gather up a group of cousins and uncles and go a’ blasting.

I finally decided it was time to start bringing my own piece.

So here’s the new gun. It’s a Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm compact.

My attempt at “artistic” gun porn:

The gun shoots great, but as you can see, I’m not that great of a shot. Guess I need more practice. Target courtesy ZombieHunters.org, by the way, the forums at zombie hunters is where I picked up the term gun porn.

The gun came with two twelve round clips, and Smith & Wesson was offering a $50 + 2 more clips rebate. That adds up to a sweet deal.

Veeeeerrrrry sweet. I’m jealous. My wife and I like the idea of owning a firearm, but haven’t jumped that shark yet. Maybe soon.

That’s a nice looking pea-shooter you’ve got there. We’ll need to go shooting here soon so I can try it out.

I really haven’t had too much experience with the S&W brand. Awhile back they decided to only sell pistols to military and police departments, and stopped producing weapons for the civilian market (because guns are dangerous for “normal” people). Due to that ridiculousness (what did they hope to accomplish?), I’ve refused to consider even a used S&W as a candidate for a firearms purchase.

Of course, S&W’s traitorous act toward the 2nd Amendment got them into financial trouble, and eventually they decided to repent. I’m sure that is part of the reason for the $50+2magazine rebate that you took advantage of. Even though their recent offerings seem to be very nice, I still have a bitter taste in my mouth for S&W, and will probably never buy one of their guns–though S&W has always produced excellent firearms. Too bad they thought that defying the God-given rights of the American people would be a better business move for them than maintaining their #1 position in the American pistol market. I guess some people just have to learn the hard way that you don’t jack with America’s right to keep and bear arms!

Nice piece. Around my house we tend towards Colt, Ruger, Taurus and Charter Arms with my pride and joy being a 1851 Colt Navy that saw action with the good ol’ CSA. As for rifles we tend towards Ruger, Marlin, Winchester, Bushmaster (love that M-4) Mosberg, Sabati, Enfield with my prize piece being a 1900 Savage 12 gauge with a Damascus barrel. A good day is spent on the range putting several of my weapons through their paces.
