I’m Back – with some family history.

I hope all of you had good holidays. We tried to cram about four years worth of holiday festivities into a couple of short weeks. So, even though I’m not terribly rested, I’m definitely refreshed and ready to hit the new year running.

On a side note, yesterday there was an article about my great-grandfather Dan Borg (& great-granduncle) in the Salt Lake Tribune yesterday. Despite the fact that he had lived with my Mom’s family for many years before he died, none of them had ever heard this story.

Also, I’d just like to announce it so I can have a good reason to keep up. I’m setting the goal to have The Journey of St. Laurent finished, edited, and in paperback by the end of the year.

  1. Glad to hear it man ๐Ÿ™‚ The article was really interesting too! I love those old news stories.

  2. Cool story! So much has changed in the last 100 years. What was a criminal act back then is now commonplace everyday behavior.

I had an ancestor who was a sheriff in OK. I think the story goes that he caught some convicts who’d escaped from the OK state penn. I never looked it up or anything though. That’s pretty cool that your family history was in the paper. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Holiday time with family can usually be hectic yet of course a necessity and (usually) a good time. ๐Ÿ™‚ Very interesting article to by the way, I have to agree with Vanessa. Weird what once was such a big deal is no longer the case. I like family history stuff, always good to know details like that. Good luck with your goal of having your novel ready by the end of the year, I’m sure you’ll accomplish this! Glad I found your site ๐Ÿ˜€
