Here’s the composition sketch I got back from the artist. I think this is really going to help the book look more like its genre. (& hopefully sell more copies) I’m pretty stoked to try it out.

Hm. Not too sure about this, B. I like the drawing, and I’m not familiar with this genre to be sure, but this kind of screams “Graphic Novel” instead of “Novel” to me.
That’s just me, and you’ve already commissioned the artist, so it’s a done deal, but if you’re looking for opinions, there’s mine.

I was going to say I thought it was a great drawing – and it is! I can’t wait to see it all nice and colored in.
But reading Darc’s comment – maybe he has a point? I know nothing about the genre, or about graphic novels either, so my opinion is meaningless either way, lol. But, I left it anyway, neener!

Well, my reasons for doing this are purely mercenary. Sales are pretty slow, so I’m going to see if they pick up with this. If I’m wrong, the worst that can happen is that I lose the pittance of income that the book currently generates for a month or two, and I’m only down the cost of the commission.
