Why I Read Fiction.
Tuesday, April 17th, 2007![]()
I read fiction because it is fulfilling. I like the feeling of connection and completion I get when I finish a good story. Reading also fuels my imagination, and as long as my imagination is running, I always seem to be happy.
Not to mention the fact that television really doesn’t even hold my interest any more. I think that goes back to the imagination thing. It just seems like there’s a serious lack of good story and heart on TV. I can still find those things all over the place in fiction.
To recap: I read because TV sucks and reading fiction fulfills my inner cravings for story.
